Meet John

John Scheirman spent his career in the electronics and entertainment industries and now serves our community on a school bus every morning, keeping our kids safe. He drives for the North Bend School District and lives in North Bend.

He studied electronic engineering technology at Lane Community College, earned a microprocessor engineering certification at Tektronix, and holds a bachelor's degree in professional management from Henry Cogswell College. His technical work included automated test engineering systems and hydro-acoustic systems that wildlife biologists use to count baby fish.

He taught electronics and physics at the community college level as a certified staff instructor. In an after-school youth program, he taught electronics and music and designed a helium-neon laser kit for high school students.

He is running for the open House District 9 seat to bring family-wage jobs, better healthcare, and stronger schools to the south coast.

Better jobs, healthcare, and schools matter to everyone in District 9, whatever party they belong to. John will work with anyone in Salem who wants to deliver them for the south coast, and he will tell you where he stands.
